Hey pple! Been out and about doing CIP at Metta Welfare Association as part of my pre-departure course. Helping out with the rehabilitation of old folks suffering from stroke. It's been quite meaningful and I really sympathise with them...even standing up is so difficult, let alone walking. But as much as I try to help, I realise that working with old folks to serve the community is definitely not my forte. Mainly cos my dialect sucks so communication with them is very, very difficult. Perhaps keeping law and order is a much better way I can do things for my nation. For the occupational therapist trio, perhaps you might wanna work on your dialect in case such cases crop up...

Hmm 23rd is quite a bad day for me cos my scholarship award ceremony is on that day. So if you guys want to have the bbq on the 23rd someone else will have to take charge of food and all. Plus at night I got night cycling for charity...organised by one of the other PSC scholars. Basically everytime you complete 1 rd of ECP, the beneficiary gets some $$. Interesting concept. But if you pple are only free on 23rd I'll skip the night cycling, I guess.

London got attacked by terrorists today. I shudder to think what would have happened if they attacked 3 months later...got lots of friends studying in London, at LSE, UCL and Imperial College. Reality bites. Don't know if PSC wants to take any drastic measures. Hope things work out for the English. Somehow this attack, after sinking in, has galvanised my feelings into resolution to make sure nothing of this sort happens to Singapore. I mean, one bomb, and we've had it, honestly. Gotta keep on our toes...
