Heyheyhey! wassup wassup wassup. Well it's been a while since I blogged. How are you guys? Just been chatting with RT on msn and realised how much I miss you pple. Ah well. 6weeks more to go! I'll be back with as much christmas-worthy stuff as I can pack. It'll mostly be chocolates and sweets and such hahaha cos I don't have enough $$ to buy individual presents for all of you, much as I would like to. If anyone wants Oxford sweaters/tshirts you can place orders with me but I must warn you that they are fairly pricey...like $40 for a tshirt and $60 for a sweater. Gaah.
So I'm on to my 3rd week of term...been almost a month since I touched down in Oxford. Seems like an eternity ago. It really feels like I've been here forever. I remember that on the first day I was just amazed by the wonderful architecture and scenery and the sense of majesty and history the place seemed to exude. Now it feels like I've grown into the place and counting it as 2nd nature to walk half an hour as opposed to taking a bus or mrt. And I'm also becoming quite a domestic person. Buying groceries, washing the dishes, doing the laundry..it's actually quite fun and therapeutic, despite being a pain in the ass sometimes.
Don't count on me doing that during the holidays though hahaha. I plan to spend the winter break enjoying the heat in Singapore and enjoying the feeling of walking around in just a tshirt and berms as opposed to layering up here, even though the latter option affords a somewhat greater chance to demonstrate one's fashion acumen.
Work is starting to pile up. Had to rush out 3 tutorials in one week. And these tutorials are of the one-question-one-hour variety. But I managed it and thus have no work left to do this week =p. Planning to spend a lot of time playing free pool in the college bar. And of course there's a bball match coming up on Friday against New College, i.e. the college that rejected me. Ahh sweet revenge time.
Going down to London over the weekend. Going to meet up with a throng of London friends. And going to meet assorted SPF pple plus the Commissioner for dinner. A dinner which I hope will not be too expensive. But itll be fun to catch up with the others again. Shiok.

haha.. i feel like a new chao recruit.. waiting so long for the book out day.. if u guys still remb the feeling of the first book out.. hm.. (eh.. some army stuffs coming up in motions.. so gals who's not interested pls skip to the next paragraph..) k la.. some update of my bmt first.. hm.. I'm in Raven coy.. quite a slack one when i compare with Ninja coy which oso enlisted on the same day.. Their they OC used to a be commando.. and dun noe wats wrong with him or dun noe wat.. heard him scold the rec for draging their PT shoe at the ground floor and make his rec do some funny stuff.. den somemore i'm in pl4 though its 5th floor yes.. but i feel that its the slackest platoon in the coy.. but its just the adjustment period.. lets see how is it when i book in again.. and oso i'm not the onli one recoursee.. there a few more!! haa.. den my buddy is a REGULAR!! he's a ok guy la.. just that quite enthu.. regular mah.. hm.. anyway... pc told mi that i'm not eligible to go ocs at the moment.. so likely if go command sch will be sispec.. some highlight of the two weeks are route march and soc coz i didnt get to do them start of this year.. coz i OOT before even they start all these!! haha.. though no tekan.. but army training still make one shag la.. sometime will feel that bit sian.. but since go back liao so suck thumb lor.. k la.. tok quite abit of junk stuff.. now i am thinking whether to del wat i have typed.. eh.. but just hack it and leave it there la.. btw SAF veri not safe.. today i suppose to take the 1930 fastcraft .. den in the end got theft case.. den they bring in the SIB (Singapore Investigating Branch).. made us took the 2330 fastcraft!!.. the new recruits were cursing like dun noe wat.. the thief oso dun noe y choose to chu1 stun on book out day.. so.. anyway, my life is back at the bmt.. another phrase of army life.. so yah..
ok.. army stuff aside.. eh.. following up bx and de blog.. the part on de can learn bout chionging and admin stuff. is quite true la.. good to learn more lor.. as a clerk can learn bout staff work lor (if u r in a good unit la.. not like OCS like that one..) oh.. my god.. still army stuff!!! ookok.. think de should be ok one la.. can take it one.. just need some time to sort it out.. hm.. for the medical stuff ah.. thats more important la.. just use the SAF money and do watever surgery that need to be done.. and get it treated.. 1 important thing i've learn in the past 1 year.. (answer to sn blog) HEALTH IS IMPORTANT!! haha.. simple hor.. but many neglect it.. but i think our this bunch of ppl understand it.. just by looking at the number of ppl taking up healthcare courses.. :)
k la.. freaking tired liao.. for the past two weeks been lights out at 2200.. and now already 0140 le.. got to zzzzzzzZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzz le.. anything more add another day la..

heyhey! wahsae i so long never check. and bx my photo is damn ugly can. haha but its so sweet thanx for putting the pics up. must have taken a long time. when i saw the pics i couldnt help grinning. man i miss u all alot.
and de, wateva i wanna sae has been said.. dun think anyone can really understand the pain and the disappointment u're going thru.. but i think everything happens for a reason and cheer up! not everyone's life's a bed of roses and i think thats a blessing. only then we really learn to appreciate the little things in life. as i alwaes sae, count your blessings,name them one by one. and it will surprise you wat u have.
like the story bout a boy complaining bout his lost shoe till he saw another boy who had just lost a leg?
i think u'll grow to be a better person from this experience.. be frustrated and annoyed all you wan.. destress and do wateva makes u happy. but after venting the anger do look back and reflect. maybe then u'll realise its a blessing in disguise?

Heyheyhey! Wow it's been awhile since I updated. Yup anyway p/insp tan reporting sir! I am 1 x settled in at Oxford and it's just been a really great experience these past 16 days. Been quite hectic actually because I've been going out a lot between lessons and such. I decided to take a night off and update and post pics and such haha. Anyway it's great to find the bloggie in an excellent state after a prolonged absence. Well done bx things are looking a lot livelier here!

heyhey,
went down to e vj open hse this morning. quite empty. but e vj spirit n cosyness was still evident. and some 22nd batch instructor asked me to go try flying fox, saying its once in a lifetime experience! grins. i feel old. bah.
DE, looked thru my textbooks, ur might be caused by a blockage preventing the transmission of the first impulse to the bottom chambers, thus the bottom will also illicit another impulse, causing you to have two impulses/heartbeat. this one won't kill u, but the leaky valves will as they will cause the heart to pump lesser blood than ur body needs during exercise, and you will black out, or the heart will just stop altogether. Take the doctor's advise and AVOID strenous exercise k, you don't wanna be another sudden death statistic in the SAF. Otherwise you should be fine and can go study den get married and have kids. Screw the red beret.
Ok it might be a little too much pride to swallow at once, but don't worry. Everything happens for a reason. I'm sure tt pretty soon you will be enjoying your new vocation. Soon. Time will fly. Soon.

i'm evolving. i'm evolving into an alien. yay. i'm downgraded le. my red beret is taken awae from me le. snatch awae frm me juz liddat when its juz in front of me. 10 months of blood n sweat go down the monsoon drain. so my vocation from commando fighter become clerk. ha. how bad can it sound. my frens juz test their beret size today. like. yay. hmm. so i moz prob 8 to 5 le. my frens "all sae wah dennis u suang la! 8 to 5 lar dunnid chiong lo! songbo! zobo all e wae!" hmm. how abt hearing tis from the doctor "ur heart and eye abnormalities is most probably caused by the same gene defect. oh ure my youngest heart patient. i dun tink u should do strenous exercise. ur valve in ur heart is not functioning properli, its leaking. oh u so young have heart prob le. oh ur heart has 2 impulses to pump so u haf irregular heartbeat. oh u might need a cornea transplant or heart surgery if condition worsens." hah. nice horz. come n change with me if u wan. shuddup bastards. nobody seems to understand wat i'm goin thro.

hm.. ok i'll blog.. haha. since the bloggie is crying for entries den this entry is for u bloggie.. hm.. i think the trend for most of the instructor to blog is when they going to start some vacation, overseas trip or anything significant.. and for mi.. it's the basic of the most basic stuff in army.. BMT!! after slacking for so long.. gotta go back le.. upgraded to pes B on 2 Sep.. cannot "keng" any more.. hm.. so fast i oso couldn't believe i'll been slacking for the past 8 months.. and i must say this army experience is so different from the one that i was thinking before i was enlisted..
but den.. something from a clerk.. i used to think that being a clerk is quite slack but den it really depends! .. sometimes admin work can be veri siong leh.. so ppl dun think clerk work easy k.. other than that past 8 months as a clerk also open my eye to some office politics.. hm.. perhaps i can learn more by being a clerk coz been exposed to outdoor life for the past few years... and chionging in army is not veri educational somemore... except for the experience that u can share with ur kids next time.. and that's partly the reason that i wan to go back oso.. haha..
k lor.. btw, i got my class 2B(motorbike) license!!.. and guys can forget about asking me for a bike ride in the near future.. cos i not buying a bike.. haha.. just paid $650 for an experience like playing arcade.. haha.. more fun than tetona.. maybe ppl ask mi y dun get a car license instead?.. somemore bike so dangerours oso... coz hor.. that time i thought i might be going back recourse soon.. so maybe bike license easier and faster to get... so just sign out lor.. i took 4 months to get the license lor.. den i realise in the same time i could get the car license oso.. hm.. nvm lor.. 2B license oso quite fun.. get one keep in pocket.. haha..
