Hey all. This goes out to JO, who just commissioned, and GY, whose performance I missed and whom I have not seen since I got back (!). Just wanna say I'm sorry for missing your respective events on Saturday, stupid sprained ankle and all. Why I must knn land on that guy's foot, I have no idea. Sigh.

Anyway, props to JO, for sticking with it and persevering through the difficult times to become a full-fledged 2LT of the SAF. I think it's safe to say that we are all proud of you and your grit, especially signing the extension to qualify for OCS. It's quite admirable that while others are scrambling to ORD, here you are, having had the most trying NS experience yet still agreeing to hang on for more of it. Truly I salute you. Sir!

And to GY, how come we still haven't met up yet?! Sialah. I'll be leaving for the UK in another couple of weeks or so (27th Sept), so we must definitely engineer a meeting or outing or something yah?? I propose having a BBQ at SN's house or at VJ on the 23rd of Sept. Then again, BBQ could be messy, and more importantly, we need someone to organise. We could just order pizza and hang out at SN's poolside hahaha.

Or, the officers could treat! Basket. Commissioned for half a year already, got so many of you, can't even get it together to treat us to a nice meal. Each one come out like $40 enough to settle the issue. For some perspective I came out $220 for the BBQ at SN's place last year. So there, I've done my part. Time to step up to the plate, huh, Young Second Lefts.

Well, time well and truly flies. It's been some 20 months since we were instructors. But I daresay our bond still remains, though perhaps not as strong as once it was. But what's important is that thus far, it has stood the test of time, and I'm sure it will continue to endure, beyond time and space. Soon I will be flying off again, and then it will be AS's turn to Ireland(must meet up in UK!), and then YA to China (right?), then WY and RT to Australia, and so on and so forth. Guess the only thing left to do is stay in touch, and try to make time for each other as far as possible, what with the unpredictability of life threatening to ensnare us into its folds.
