Happy holidays guys! Um, going to bed soon, still havent done my packing for oxford/london. Pretty exciting, would be meeting up with ASP Jerald Tan, as well as some long lost friends, some frm dunman high, frm sierra wing, and from world of warcraft. haha. Oh, and happy birthday bloggie, i got you another present - a blogspot brother! post-beta version summore! Yup thats my new blog, its now in a link under the navigations column. For those who used to go to the old MSN spaces, thanks, but because spaces is soo laggy, slow and doesnt allow youtube video linking (wtf how can they not allow that man), i've decided to move on to blogspot. seriously much better. Haven't really finished with the template and stuff, just created it yesterday, and havent found anywhere to upload photos to, but feel free to post ur comments so I'll know what you guys think. Anyway, in this previous week I ran out of luck, then again it was a pretty valuable experience. (Oh btw u can read it up in my msn spaces, the link is in my blog.) Ogay, I guess u guys are probably busy dressing up as trees, cookies, monsters and whatever not. Enjoy your xmas party! and JT and I are gonna have our own. wahaha. right, seeya!
cheers, AS

dear all!!!
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Christmas party theme is changed! taking into consideration of many of your expanding waistlines resulting in the inability to fit into sec school uniforms, or the fact that many of our uniforms are in some salvation army collection bin now.....
the new theme is hereby declared: DRESSCODE: AN OBJECT/PERSON RELATED TO CHRISTMAS!
because some of our people might not comprehend the very intellectual dresscode, we have come up with some eg.s.:
santa santarina elves reindeer christmas tree christmas deco e.g. balls, star, mistletoe snowman fairy angel candles
SO EXCITING RIGHT? OF COURSE! HEHE. SO PLEASE COME DRESSED APPROPRIATELY OR WE WILL GIVE YOU BANANA LEAVES AND MAKE YOU ADAM/EVE. *evil chuckle*
HOHOHO!

'Tis the season to be preppy!(fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-laaa)
Christmas is here and it's time once again for our mega event of the year-annual christmas bbq at sn's place(yawns..). Well, this year there's gonna be a twist...wait make it a double twist. First of all there isn't going to be a bbq. What?! Yeap, u heard rite. No bbq this year, instead we're going to have a traditional christmas dinner( although I never had one before). Turkey, meat pies, cookies, brownies, cakes, wine, candles christmas carols etc. Oh yah, must'nt forget ya's signature apple pie! Sounds good eh? Ok, stop drooling already! Before you all get too excited, here's the next twist- all of us must wear secondary school uniforms for the night. Need not be your own school, you are free to choose. Why the dress code? Coz rt said so, that's why. Haha. And since Odac always believes in the spirit of giving, make sure you bring along your christmas gifts as well.
So come on down to sn's place on the 23rd and make merry in your uniforms! Bask in the company of good friends under the stars (hope it doesn't rain). Things are everchanging, but it's comforting to know you can always look forward to a night of fun, peace, laughter and joy at christmas time every year.
*You all must be wondering why I made this entry after bx. The reason is coz I found her entry rather drab, so I felt something must be done to liven things up abit. Sorry bx, hope you don't take offence. Haha.

It's been a long wait! but YES! Finally Lost 3 is coming out! For those who do not watch Lost and want to watch it can contact me. I have season 1 and season 2 in dvd! yay.
Been a week since i came back from japan. My trip was tiring. Especially during the days i spent at the temple. For those people who don't know, I went japan for a pilgrimage. At the temple, i must do my daily morning and evening prayers; attend ceremonies in the day and in the night; wake up in the middle of the night to attend morning prayer; walking from point to point. It was cold but maybe not as cold as UK. I think it was about 12 deg C. But bearable as long as you wear a long john, clothes that cover your body and most importantly your windbreaker. The beanie that i bought works dam well. Next was the Shopping Spree during our 2 days tour in Tokyo. THE BEST THING WAS THAT I NEVER BUY ANYTHING EXCEPT FOR A CD, CATCH 2 SOFT TOY AND BUYING FOOD. One, the places we go to are mainly catered for women. Two, the season is for winter clothes. Three, i don't have the nothing to buy just buy mentality like the aunties on this trip. Oh there were a few school gals that were hot man! plus some adults. the rest are just normal. the best thing is that IT's DAM hard to communicate! Can alex and grace and rina and johnson bring us there in future? =D
OH! And i think adults are very very selfish. DAM. Here's the story: There were boxes we had to bring back to our Propagation Centre back in Singapore. Contains paper and pamphlets and it was very heavy. The adult I/C has a LOT OF INITIATIVE. He keep asking other men and 2 of us teenager/youth on how to bring the boxes to the airport, because there wasn't a big enough box to contain everything. And he only know how to ask HOW? HOW? What do you think? Freaking! In the end i suggested each person be in charge of a box den bring to airport lor. GUESS WHAT THE REST OF THE MEN DID?? 'But i got a lot of stuff to carry. My wife bought a lot things. Okok. i just help. and off he go taking the SMALL BOX.' So who's supposed to carry the rest of the boxes??? The next day, we were to leave the temple by coach. My friend and I carried all of them including our own baggage to the bus which was 10,000 miles away. -_-"
Sometimes, i wonder... Did NS really change the way a person react to things? or is that the selfish society and the dao4li3 of 'ren bu wei ji, tian zhu di mie' really change the adults. WE ARE GOING TO TURN 21 NEXT YEAR. DAM. Will we become like them??? It's really sad..
It's been one month since we ORD and its very bad for me. Underwater world took like a month to reject my application. I seriously wonder what took them so long just to look through my application, decide and reply me. SAD AND PISSED AT THE SAME TIME. Well, since the application on underwater world failed, I applied for AVA. But i think the result will be the same, because it was stated only selected people will be notified and the post that i applied did not have any opening. Next, i applied to be a volunteer for Blue Water Volunteers(BWV) whose guides bring people to Kusu Island to explain the reef life there. Also, I applied to be an Ubin volunteer or Chek Jawa Guide with National Parks Board. Till now, only BMW replied saying I am glad of your interest and i have forwarded your email to the relevant personnel. I have yet to receive any replies from any organization.
Why why why why why??? I am trying so hard to build my future and dreams but yet it is not happening?? Maybe i should just apply for a job as data entry clerk or any other part time job and stop wasting my time waiting and waiting for something that will never happen.
If i do get to be a volunteer at Ubin, I will bring you guys to Chek Jawa in future to show you all around! And we can camp there for the night! Till then, stoning at home...

Hey guys! Thought I'd drop by too. Things are going great here. I've just moved out of my sucky old place, which was so dirty and small and expensive. I'm actually living somewhere south of the city centre now, pretty nice place, quiet, with very strong winds, and facing a beautiful park/hotel.
Ooo did u guys know that the bloggie's birthday is coming soon? I'm not sure if some of you could remember this but.. about 2 years ago on a christmas (or was it post-xmas) gathering at DO's house, a few bored people decided to start the online version of loggie. And I clearly remember that first post being the "instructor of the month" featuring MX, better known as teocompoop. Isnt that SO fast?! Well anyways I gave the bloggie a present already.... I gave it a comments ability! Well in case u havent noticed, I added tags to the script to allow u to post your comments after every post, so you dont actually have to create a new post. Not to shabby eh? Happy 2nd birthday!
Well I'm probably coming back in early January to mid-Feb. Exciting lineup.. going over to UK to meet JT in about 3weeks! Wonderful. Somehow I feel that the climate in Ireland makes you very calm, peaceful and free. Its so warm back home its like a pressure cooker! However the occasional bright sun is a little depressing. Still its like what you'd expect from what you've seen in the movies or books whatever - walking down the road during sunset with a cool strong wind blowing you back, and beside you its all leaf-less trees. But you still feel warm inside your thick clothing and you walk on. Its a nice feeling, wished I could bring a little of it back to Singapore so you guys could experience it! Irish people speak one of the nicest English I've ever heard. I'm referring to the educated Irish. Their English is very pure - no accents whatever. No slang or anything. Clearly understood, yet fast and nice. Oh yes! you could come visit on my live spaces, there are a bunch of photos and entries there. I've not really updated it for the past week, hopefully I dont feel so lazy after moving into such a nice place :D
Alright thats all for now.. AS

heey JT. guess i should drop by and update too huh. :)
Just finished my first round of tests, another round coming up in jan, another in march. Never ending cycle of mugging, stress and pimples. :(
And so i heard about the annual BBQ once again. Yupp i'm free on the 23rd and the place is (tentatively) free till you guys confirm asap. New BBQ ideas anyone? i.e stuffed christmas turkey/honey baked ham etc. To the guys who have already completed their NS and are holding jobs outside... come on its time to share the love and treat your poorer university friends. Not trying to be forceful or guai4lan3 here but ya can the guys zi3dong3 abit? =)
Btw 2 years flew past just like that... in and out of uniform in a blur. For those in uni/poly only 2-3 more years of education before you step out into the real world and earn your keep. Time flies when you try to grow up. TRY TO.
Went back to VJ on wed evening. Same old same old. A few year twos running around school, celebrating the end of 'A's. Even those who entered after us have left. Spoke to a 23rd batch instructor in the room. They just came back from fansipan. Its amazing what time does to your memory. Teachers are posting out. Mrs Chan is leaving. Ms Tey is leaving. And the VJ we used to know becomes a thing of the past. Just the shell remains. Unfamiliar faces in a familiar setting.
Been some time since i realised that i have been caught up in the evil clutches of life. Spent the past 2 months burrowed deep within my tiny little world of bacteria and viruses, ignoring everything that goes by. Once it is over i re-emerge to re-connect with the people, with the ever changing spinning world we know as life. But i guess this is how we function, as separate entities, each with his/her dreams and destiny. However, you should never forget your friends who have helped you during your darkest hours, and those who have stoody by you through uncertain times. (sounds like LOTR huh haha.)
Shawn feels tired. But Shawn has to carry on fighting. And so do all of you.
Jiayou and happy holidays. :)
