It's weird when you don't feel much of the Chinese New Year mood. By nature of our race, and the fact that this is a Chinese holiday, something isn't right if you aren't in a celebratory mood. But according to the calender, the new year falls on 1st JAN and that is the time when people normally celebrate a fresh start to the year ahead, a new beginning. So it's weird when we usher in the new year again in FEB, is it not?
But what the heck. As long as it is a holiday, there is reason enough for us to celebrate.
So what does Chinese New Year mean to you?
Well I'm gonna propose something, and those of you who are game enough, please try it out. Complete the following sentence : Chinese New Year...
Is a time for annual trips back to Malaysia( truly Asia), looooong 5 hr-car rides, spacing out during conversations ( because my grasp of canto/hokkien dialect is severely limited), or which the alternative to the former would be to stone in front of the television ( thank god for astro), enjoying cheap good food which you can never get in Singapore despite it being reputed for its wide variety of culinary delights, endless house-visiting ( which translates to more stoning in front of the tv), collecting angbaos (albeit in ringgit) and wishing people "gong hei fat choy!"

I guess after that post i wrote earlier, you guys wanted to cheer me up or get me less bored or go out to play etc, thanks for spending such wonderful time in this two weeks! Honestly this two weeks didn't feel so wasted after all..haha. was pretty fun anyway, but its damn short. Anyway at KTV we realized hidden talent today: TZ's solo singing talent cannot be challenged.
back to 4mths of studying in cooold ireland. damn, i heard it snowed the other day! meanwhile, bois, work hard, and girls, study hard.

Had a great time at my party. Hope all of u had fun too. Was afraid that it would be boring cos i got 0 plans for the day. But with ODAC around, nuttin can be boring =) Hmmm happy birthday. Happy. Really happy. cos I have 21 close frens who went thru so much together. how many people can actually boast to others that they have TWENTY-ONE really close frens? It's the feeling that you know u can count on ODAC anytime anywhere that makes the difference. One of the best decisions that I haf made is to join ODAC n meet all of u! I am qt sure 40 yrs down the road we will still be as bonded and then we can go to YA's 60 da shou bdae party! Wahahaha. And on bLahday yesterday, DEJYKSASTZDOCH were at timbreeee. nice chill out place. really appreciate your effort for sending a dedication up for me. too bad we gotta zao cos it's getting late. altho i dun get to hear frm the RJ PE teacher, the bdae song u all sang for me is great too! Thankss alottt! Oh ya, AS hope u enjoy urself for the remaining few days! It's great having an irish in my bdae party! n not to forget the photo whore for capturing all the happy moments!
